PAIA Manual
This is a summary of the manual prepared by Prosperity Enterprises under the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (PAIA). It describes the records we hold and how you may request access to them.
Last updated 2026-06-24.
1. Purpose of this manual
PAIA gives effect to the constitutional right of access to information. This manual helps requesters understand what records Prosperity Enterprises holds, who to contact, and the procedure to follow when requesting access to a record.
2. Particulars of Prosperity Enterprises
Prosperity Enterprises is a South African trust and company administration provider based in Cape Town. We operate the Prosperity Enterprise Suite and host client records in South Africa in the af-south-1 (Cape Town) region.
3. Information Officer and contact
Requests for access to records, and any PAIA query, should be directed to our Information Officer at info@prosperityenterprises.site.
4. How to request access to records
- Submit a written request to the Information Officer at the address above.
- Provide enough detail to identify the record sought and the form of access you require.
- Provide your contact details and, where the request is made in another person's interest, proof that you are entitled to act on their behalf.
- Identify the right you are seeking to exercise or protect, where applicable.
5. Records held
- Client and entity records for the trusts and companies we administer.
- Statutory filings and returns prepared for CIPC, SARS, and FICA purposes.
- Beneficial-ownership and related-party records.
- Correspondence and supporting documents related to administration and compliance.
6. Grounds for refusal
Access to a record may be refused on the grounds set out in PAIA. These include the mandatory protection of the privacy of a third party, the protection of confidential commercial information, legal privilege, and other grounds the Act recognises. Where a request is refused, we will provide reasons.
7. Remedies
If a request is refused, a requester may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa or apply to a court for appropriate relief, as provided for in PAIA.
8. Fees
A request fee and an access fee may be payable in accordance with the fees prescribed under PAIA. We will inform you of any fee due before we process the request, and access to a record may be withheld until the applicable fee is paid.
